Main and significant feature of the ME 25 loudspeaker is the two-way system in coaxial construction, which results in an excellent converter's linearity, a high dynamic range and a well-balanced sound image, free of any coloration. ME 25 is qualified for the application as frontal and effect loudspeaker in 5.1 configurations for surround sound and can be supplemented by our subwoofer BASIS 1. Because of its high independence of the location in the medium and high-frequency range the positioning of the ME 25 loudspeaker within the room is uncomplicated. By means of the special radiating characteristic with a basis width of about 1.5 m ( 5 ft ) through 3 m (10 ft ) an optimum and well-balanced listening experience can be obtained. Moreover, it is possible to operate with this loudspeaker also in lying (horizontal) position. The loudspeaker is magnetically shielded for minimum scattering. As an option, a support foot with integrated cable channel in suitable veneer is available.
